CWS calls off indefinite agitation

TUENSANG, OCTOBER 21 (MExN): The Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students' Conference) has called off its indefinite agitation after a written assurance was given by the Minister for Tourism and Higher Technical Education, Temjen Imna Along on October 20 during a consultative meeting held in Kohima. 

Informing this in a press release, CWS media cell stated that as per their demand, the Minister informed that letter of deployment of a principal at Sao Chang College was issued on October 20, while the issue on the shortage of college buses would be solved by the end of November month. 

The up-gradation of science laboratory would be taken up within the financial year of 2023 and introduction of major subject in science stream will be introduced by academic year of 2024. Teaching faculties in the department of Political Science, English and in science steam would be posted as and when on contract Assistant Professors are absorbed, it was further assured. 

Expressing satisfaction that the assurances given, the CWS has called of its indefinite agitation from October 21 onwards.
