Phek, September 21 (MExN): A comprehensive programme focusing on cyber safety, legal awareness, and career guidance was organised collaboratively by the SP office Phek, Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU), and Phek Government College (PGC) on September 20. This informative event was hosted at PGC with the aim of equipping students with valuable knowledge and resources, a DIPR report stated. 

Superintendent of Police Phek, Dr Pritpal Kaur Batra, IPS discussed various types of complaints received through online registration at the NCRP portal and the helpline 1930. Dr Batra urged students to become cyber volunteers and actively participate in spreading awareness about cybercrimes.

The resource person, Md Sayeed Khan, Senior Faculty at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) and founder of Zed-Ace, delved into crucial topics related to cyber safety and ethical hacking. Khan provided insights into preventive measures to safeguard against cyber fraud. He also emphasised the vulnerabilities associated with using social media apps and shared strategies for protection.

Addressing the career guidance, Sahil from the MGN Fellowship highlighted various government schemes and policies available for students. Sahil encouraged students to make informed career choices based on their preferences and aspirations.

The collaborative efforts of the SP Office Phek, CSU, and PGC in organising this programme reflect their commitment to enhancing cyber safety awareness, legal knowledge, and career prospects for the students of Phek. By empowering the youth with valuable information and resources, this initiative aims to prepare them for a brighter and more secure future.
