Dimapur, June 6 (MExN): A Nikshay 2.0 function was organised at District Tuberculosis Center, Dimapur to provide nutritional support to TB patients on June 5.
Nikshay 2.0 is an initiative by the Government of India to provide nutritional support by Nikshay Mitra/Donor.
On this occasion, Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (DABA) adopted 50 Tuberculosis patients and will be providing the TB patients with food supplements for six months initially, stated a press release.
Dr Benchilo, District TB Officer Dimapur informed that there are 1074 patients on treatment and out of that 239 were receiving food supplements. DABA adopted 50 patients out of 239 patients.
Dr Limala Aier, Chief Medical Officer Dimapur appreciated DABA for providing food supplements and their support towards TB patients.
Rev I Wati Jamir, Senior pastor, DABA invoked blessing for all TB patients and health workers. Food supplements were provided to TB patients during the function.
