Kohima, October 24 (MExN): The Democratic Alliance Nagaland (DAN) Coordination Committee comprising NPF, NCP and JD (U) held a coordination meeting on October 24 in the office chamber of the "DAN Chairman", Kuzholuzo Azo Nienu at NPF Central office, Kohima.
The DAN Coordination Committee members in a joint statement requested Noke Wangnao to refrain from using DAN Chairman as “he is an unattached member and do not belong to any political party.”
If he claims to be DAN Chairman, the statement said, he should produce the names of the political parties with their appointment orders of the concerned political parties under his chairmanship.
Stating that a single political party like BJP cannot form an alliance by itself, the Committee stated DAN is a coordination of different political parties not individuals. “The present DAN Coordination Committee headed by Kuzholuzo Azo Nienu is a conglomeration of different political parties comprising NPF, NCP and JD (U),” it added.
The meeting also had a detailed discussion on the prevailing political situation in Nagaland and called upon the “misguided” members to come to the mainstream and work together as a team for betterment of the people of the State, it further stated.
It also requested any political party in the state willing to join the DAN to join the alliance before December to discuss and finalize the alliance partnership before December 2017.
