Kohima, June 8 (MExN): Nagaland’s newly-appointed Advisor for Information & Public Relations (IPR) and Soil & Water Conservation, Daochier I Imchen, on June 8 held a meeting with senior officials of the IPR department at his official residence in Kohima where he described his return to the department as a “homecoming” and sought to expedite projects initiated during his late father’s tenure.
Commissioner & Secretary, IPR, Orenthung Lotha, IAS, and Director, IPR, Dzüvinuo Theünuo, called on Imchen to congratulate him on his victory in the recent by-election from the Koridang Assembly Constituency in Mokokchung district. They apprised the Advisor about ongoing projects and activities of the department and assured full support and cooperation to his leadership, stated a DIPR report.
In response, Imchen expressed gratitude to the officials, recalling that his late father had held the same departments until his demise. He thanked the staff for standing by him during an “extraordinary situation” and appealed to them to continue extending support and guidance. Imchen also requested the department to expedite the projects and activities initiated during his father’s time to keep his legacy and memories alive.
