KOHIMA, OCTOBER 26 (MExN): The Dapfhütsumiapfü Mechü Krotho (DMK) or D Khel women organisation of Kohima Village yesterday held its general conference at Dapfhütsumiag ground with Chief Engineer of Nagaland PWD (Mechanical), Er Neingume-ü Kire as the main speaker.
In her address, Kire encouraged the DMK leaders and members to respect and love each other and also uphold the forefathers’ good practices for the upliftment of the community.
She said that the women folk of the D Khel are blessed and have been doing much better in different spheres of life. She also lauded the DMK for standing together with the men folk for the welfare of the community.
Meanwhile, Kire also encouraged the womenfolk of the Khel to continue to remain united and come forward to work for the society.
D Khel Council chairman, Pele Khezhie; D Khel Head GB, Atei Khezhie and former leaders of DMK also exhorted the gathering.
Chaired by DMK president, Methasieü Pienyü, the programme commenced with prayer by assistant pastor of Khedi Baptist Church, Kethosenuo Kire while DMK vice president, Neikesonuo Kire tendered the vote of thanks. Folk tune i/c Kikruneinuo Kire and special music by Keneisedenuo Yiese, Keneiü Sachü & Khriezezonuo Kire enthralled the gathering.
