Darjeeling Himalayan Railway to resume

Maligaon, August 22 (MExN): The Narrow Gauge train services between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling in the World Heritage Darjeeling Himalayan Railway will be resuming from August 25, an release informed.

Tourist and passengers will now be able to enjoy the services of the narrow gauge trains from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling and back, travelling through the hills of the Himalayas, stated the release from Guneet Kaur, Chief Public Relations Officer, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR). 

Narrow Gauge train number 52541 will leave from New Jalpaiguri and train number 52540 will leave from Darjeeling. Detail timings will be notified, it said. 

Passengers will have to observe all preventive measures and guidelines related to Covid-19 during the journey, it added.
