Dimapur, February 26 (MExN): The members of Dimapur Bengali Samaj (DBS) today stated they were “shocked and traumatized” by the “untimely” demise of Dr. Ashit Baran Choudhury, popularly known as ‘Shibu Da’. Besides being a member of noble profession, Dr. Choudhury was a noted social worker from the Bengali community in Nagaland, stated the Samaj in a condolence note. “His death has caused a vacuum and irreparable loss to the community, which cannot be filled and compensated in any manner,” it added. DBS further extended deepest condolence to the bereaved family, particularly his wife Madhumita Choudhury and daughter Dr. Prerona Choudhury, and prayed to God to give them solace to overcome the grief.
