Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur Rajesh Soundararajan has informed the public to refrain from encroaching into the acquired land or Right of Way (RoW) along the Dimapur bypass Highway and Dimapur-Kohima 4-Lane National Highway 29.
In a public notice issued through the state DIPR, the DC noted that some individuals have illegally encroached and set up sand or brick stockyards, construction of temporary or permanent structures etc., along the roadside within the land acquired by government for 4-lane construction and reserved as RoW along Dimapur bypass 4-lane highway and Dimapur-Kohima 4-lane NH-29.
The DC reminded that such encroachments were unauthorized and liable to be evicted as per Nagaland Eviction of Persons in Unauthorized Occupation of Public Land Act, 1971 and others laws.
