DC Kohima notifies on IAS Scholarship Examination

Kohima, October 3 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS in a notification informed all concern that an IAS Scholarship Examination will be conducted under Chief Minister's Corpus Fund 2019-2020 in partnership with the Alternative Learning System (ALS) New Delhi for aspiring Civil Servants from Nagaland as per the module given as follows: 

 

Examination Details: 
Date of Examination –October 12
Time - 11:00 A.M to 01:00 P.M
Examination Centre - Nagaland Public Service Commission (Examination Hall)
Date of Results announcement – October 16. 

 

The Examination will be based on UPSC Civil Services Examination pattern with MCQ Questions (100 Questions of 2 Marks each). There will be a negative marking of 0.33 marks for every wrong answer. Candidates are to bring only black ball point pen to the examination centre to fill up the OMR Answer sheet.

 

Issue of Application Forms: Date of Issue of forms - 03, 04, 09 & 10 October 2019; Office for Issue of forms - Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima; Last Date for receipt of forms – October 10; Receipts of forms and issue of Hall tickets - Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima; Age Criteria - 20 years and above on or before August 1. (Forms will not be issued to those people born after August 1, 1999); Documents Required - Aadhar Card or Passport or Voter ID Card, ST Certificate, Marksheets and Pass Certificate from Class XII and above, Passport size photograph (02 Nos), HSLC Admit Card/Marksheets or Birth Certificate.

 

Scholarship Structure: Students rank as per the examination - Percentage of fee waiver on course fees - sponsoring authority or Agency:- Top 1-100 Students - 100%  - Government of Nagaland **; Top 101 - 140 Students - 75% - ALS, New Delhi; Top 141 - 190 Students - 50% - ALS, New Delhi; Top 191 - 240 Students - 40% - ALS, New Delhi and Top 241 - 290 Students - 25% - ALS, New Delhi. (**Selection of students under the Chief Minister's Corpus Fund Schemes sponsored by the Government of Nagaland will be based on Nagaland Reservation Roster List)

 

Course Duration: One year Course starting from October 21 at any of the 6 (Six) ALS Authorised Learning Centres in Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Wokha and Mon via cutting edge VSAT Technology where LIVE Transmission of Classes being conducted in ALS Delhi Campus would be given.  The timing of the class will be from 02:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M every Monday to Friday with weekly current Affairs class on Every Saturday.
