Bhandari, September 21 (MExN): All the departments and Border Magistrates must remain in constant touch and share relevant information in order to ensure smooth functioning in the Disputed Area Belt (DAB), resolved a Deputy Commissioner-level border meeting held at 142 Bn CRPF Camp, Merapani on September 21.
The meeting, among others, was attended by Wokha DC, Ajit Kumar Ranjan; DC Golaghat, Dr P Uday Praveen; Superintendents of Police and concerned department officials from both districts.
During the meeting, CRPF highlighted the role of the neutral forces in DAB and it was stated that they should maintain status quo as per the existing agreement signed by the Governments of Nagaland and Assam in the year 1979, stated a DIPR report.
It also outlined the various pending issues in the DAB pertaining to Sector B, C and D, it said.
The meeting deliberated upon all the issues and necessary instruction were conveyed to the concerned departments for their resolution.
