DIMAPUR, FEB 19 (MExN): In regard to the Longleng District local Commission on the border issue, Deputy Commissioner (DC), Longleng, Wepretso Mero informed all the concern citizens to send their representations to the office of the Commission through DC’s office for setting out contentions on the boundaries between Assam and Nagaland pertaining to border areas under Tamlu Sub-Division in Longleng District. In this connection, the DC urged the people of Longleng district, NGO’s and Village Councils to avail the opportunity in submitting their representatives pertaining to Assam-Nagaland boundary matters along with the basis of history, traditional facts, legal and ground realities to enable the State Government to submit the view points to the border commission. And since the last date for submission of their representatives to the Commission is on February 28, he further informed that any representation for the same should reach his office latest by February 15 for onward submission to the office of the Additional Chief Secretary cum Commissioner, Kohima at old Secretariat complex which has been designated as the office of the local commission.
