DC Mkg informs on COVID-19 ex-gratia

Mokokchung, November 1 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner and District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Chairman, Mokokchung, Limawapang Jamir has informed that Rs 50,000 ex-gratia will be paid per deceased by COVID-19 in the District by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to the next kin of the deceased through Direct Benefit Transfer procedures.    

Therefore, in order to avail the ex-gratia, the following documents are to be submitted by the next to kin of the deceased at the DDMA Cell, DC Office Mokokchung: Application Form (Annexure-A); Death Certificate; Certificate from the Hospital in which the deceased died (Mentioning cause of death; Passport photo of claimant; Aadhaar Card of claimant; and Bank Account details of claimant.

The ex-gratia assistance will be applicable from the date of first COVID-19 case reported in the country and will continue till de-notification of COVID-19 as a disaster or till further orders, whichever is earlier, the DC stated.
