Mokokchung, November 13 (MExN): The movement of all heavy vehicles on the Dikhu Bridge along the Mokokchung-Noksen (Tuensang) route via Longmisa village, has been restricted from November 13 to 26. In a travel advisory, the Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung stated that a portion of the dock slab on the bridge has been damaged posing a danger to the lives and properties of the general public and the restriction has been imposed to facilitate the necessary repair works. Only light vehicles carrying personnel or luggage will be allowed during the stipulated time, it said. Additionally, the Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) of Ongpangkong is assigned to coordinate and ensure the strict adherence to the restriction of movement for all heavy vehicles. Non-compliance with this directive shall invite penal action as per the relevant section of the law, the order added.
