Mon, November 4 (MExN): All types of vehicles including private and public transportation will be prohibited from using the Longwa junction to private station traffic point, Mon from 6pm to 6am to avoid hindrance and ensure the smooth execution of the ongoing Mon-Tizit road maintenance work
This restriction shall be in effect for a period of one week starting November 3, Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma has informed in an order.
The order further restricted parking of vehicles along the same stretch.
The residents/shop owners along the stretch are also directed to remove any hindrances that may obstruct the ongoing project such as water pipes, stone boulders, temporary sheds, construction materials etc along the right of way (ROW) by November 4, it said.
The Ward authorities (GBs & Ward Chairman) of Thamnan, Jahjon, Chingai and Santham Wards are requested to assist the District Administration, Police and the line department of Mon in monitoring the implementation of the order, it added.
The DC further urged public & vehicle owners to co-operate and adhere to the order to ensure successful and timely completion of the said road project.
