DC Wokha allows passage of trucks from Assam

WOKHA, JUNE 24 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Wokha has issued an order allowing passage of trucks carrying essential commodities (except livestock) from Assam via Merapani sub division from 12 noon till 8:00pm with effect from June 24. The DC’s order further stated that all vehicles bound from Wokha district to Assam will be allowed to travel from 6:00am onwards. It directed that all vehicles should be fumigated by authorized personnel at the Merapani Fumigation Station followed by thermal screening for all occupants of the vehicle at Bhandari check post. No trucks/vehicles are allowed to ferry any passengers other than the authorized driver/handyman/official on duty (with valid permit). Meanwhile, only authorized permit holders and vehicles will be allowed to carry essential commodities and construction materials, it said.
