DDIBCSF organises 19th annual sports meet

Dimapur, February 20 (MExN): The Dimapur District Inter-Bible Colleges Sports Fellowship (DDIBCSF) organised its 19th Annual Sports Meet at Nagaland Baptist College, Khehokhu from February 17-19 under its motto ‘Unity Through Sports Fellowship.’ As per a DDIBCSF release, the meet featured various games and sports competitions among the 14 participating colleges from Dimapur.

In football, Ain’t God Good Baptist Bible College lifted the Championship trophy after defeating Immanuel Theological College & Seminary in the final. 

The volleyball (men’s) championship went to Nagaland Baptist College (NBC) while Christ for Asia Theological Studies & Mission was the runner-up.

The NBC also lifted the volleyball women’s trophy after prevailing over Agape College in the final. The referees for the sports meet were Howoto Aye, Kikruvilhu Yhoshu, Ameto Shohe and Inoto Ayemi  and Tito Awomi.

The meet also featured competitions in 100 metre Sprint, Badminton (singles and mixed doubles), Table Tennis (singles) and Tug of War.

The closing ceremony was graced by Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema, Chairman, Livingstone Foundation International as the Guest of Honour, who urged theologically trained people to do what is right and good in the eyes of God so that they may restrain themselves from being termed as hypocrites.

The DDIBCSF release also acknowledged the contributions Dr Ahoto as well as sponsors including Ledia Zhimo (LA Creation& Enterprise); Hukiye Yeptho, Proprietor, Genesis Theological College/Institute for Children Ministry; Atoho Chishi, Sports Secretary (DDIBCSF); Daniel Swu, Proprietor, G.G Home Enterprise; Er Hutoka Kiho and Paominlun Hangshingh, Proprietor, Progressive Enterprise.
