Kohima, September 27 (MExN): A dead body suspected to be that of ULFA cadre Rudeshwar Baruah alias Jan Asom was recovered from Burhi Dihing River near South Tekri on September 27. Account to a press release from the office of the Public Relations Officers (Defence) Kohima, the cadre was likely to be involved in the encounter with the army on September 24. Jan Asom allegedly joined the UNLFA in 2003 and was suspected to be involved in several other cases of extortion and kidnappings. The body was located with the help of a local fishermen and live grenades and magazines were also found along with the body. The security forces, the press release informed, were on the search for another injured ULFA cadre in the reserve forest areas.
