Dimapur, February 14 (MExN): The Delhi Ao Kaketshir Telongjem (DAKT) held its 31st freshers’ meet at Nagaland House, New Delhi on February 11.
A press release received here stated that the chief speaker, Sentisungla Longchar, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Lady Shriram College for Women, University, Delhi, spoke about the importance of mental health amongst youth. Through anecdotes from her experiences in Delhi, she encouraged the freshers to interact with the professors and thrive relentlessly despite the overwhelming environment.
The chief guest, Limatula Yaden, IRS, Joint Secretary, Tax Research Unit, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, emphasised the importance of humility in all aspects of life.
Pangertoshi Walling, President, DAKT emphasized on culture's importance and preservation while Er N Ajungba Jamir, President, Delhi Ao Senso Telongjem encouraged the students to go beyond their comfort zone as the act evokes intuition that strengthens and provides new perspectives.
On behalf of the freshers, Sentikala Imchen delivered a speech. The programme also exhibited cultural presentations by the students. An informal session on the theme of Metsüben Nüknüra was held following the formal session.
