Demand to expedite DBT for disbursement of stipend

Dimapur, September 27 (MExN): NPCC Public Grievances Department has responded to the clarification issued by Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship dated September 11 for delay of stipend under eight districts, Industrial Training Institute for the academic session of 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24

NPCC, PGD Co-Chairman, Er Meshenlo Kath and Secretary, Dilo Koza on Wednesday mentioned that “if MOU have been signed between the Department and NIC for Direct benefit transfer (DBT), it is the sole responsibility of the department/authority to do the follow up and complete the work by earliest possible means.”

While expressing concerns, NIC cannot make some lame excuses of the server issues for years, keeping the stipend of trainees in pending who joined as early as 2021 and trainees of the following academic years till date, it stated.

Therefore, NPCC, PGD has requested the authorities and other third parties with whom MOU have been signed for Direct Benefit Transfer to expedite the process and let the trainees be awarded what they deserve without further delay. “Expecting for positive response regarding the stipend for trainees on top priority,” it added.
