
New Delhi, July 31 (MExN): The Baptist Church Trust Association (BCTA) headed by the President K Asungba Sangtam, reached out to Delhi Eastern Nagaland Students' Union through its contribution to the COVID-19 Relief Fund set up by the union for the sole purpose of assisting its people who were affected by the pandemic.
In the wake of the pandemic, the DENSU had set up the COVID-19 Relief Fund in order to aid its people who were in dire need of relief due to the unprecedented challenges brought upon by the pandemic, a press release informed.
The union since then received overwhelming support from its members and many well-wishers who selflessly contributed to the fund, it said,
The release further stated that BCTA has reached out not only to DENSU but also to migrant labourers stuck in Delhi, through its community kitchens. It also visited about 25 police stations in the different districts of Delhi and distributed PPE kits to the personnel in appreciation for their service, it said.
The DENSU, while expressing gratitude to the BCTA, further stated that the trust has worked with many NGOs and other organizations in reaching out to the needy by providing dry rations, cooked meals and other essentials throughout the lockdown period.
