
Kohima, January 31 (MExN): The Department of Posts has introduced a new service called the Dak Niryat Kendra or Postal Export Centre at the Kohima Head Post Office to exclusively facilitate commercial export and enable smooth transmission of commercial export items by the exporters.
The process of exporting any goods has been made hassle free and also customs clearance more simplified, informed a press release from the Nagaland Superintendent of Posts on Tuesday.
As per the release, anyone with a valid commercial license, IEC Code, GSTIN can access the URL https://dnk.cept.gov.in/customers.web/ and register themselves on the Dak Niryat website to avail this service.
After registering, customers can log in to book their items; upload all requisite documents related to the items booked like licenses, certificates, invoices, etc. To complete the transaction, the items will have to be presented to the Counter Official at the Dak Niryat Kendra where it will be processed (booking, payment, dispatch, etc) for further transmission to the destination, subject to further scrutiny of all uploaded documents and goods by Customs officials, the release informed.
