Kohima, December 12 (MExN): A departmental meeting of PWD (Housing), Nagaland was held in the presence of Minister, Housing & Mechanical Engineering, P Bashangmongba Chang, at the Conference hall NPWD, Kohima on December 7 last.
The Minister in his speech encouraged all present to work together in unity. He laid emphasis on the importance of coordinating to achieve their goals and continue to seek love and support. Agendas for discussions from all the Divisions and Wings under PWD (Housing) were put forward during the course of the meeting, stated an update received here.
In the welcome address, Er Hozheto Shikhu, Chief Engineer, PWD (Housing) thanked the Minister and all the officers for attending the meeting and appealed the latter to have an open interaction and express their views and also their opinions.
A detailed PowerPoint Presentation was delivered by the Chief Engineer resonating on “Department Role for Revenue Generation (Through Building Inventory Management).”
He was of sanguine view that with the expedition of the right Government policies, Housing Department has the feasibility of earning huge revenues to a tune of Rs 275 Crore annually. He deliberated the officers present at the meeting to ruminate and to unanimously work hand in hand to make Housing Department the number one revenue generation department in the state.
Moayangla, Additional Secretary, Works & Housing Nagaland, in her speech stressed on better advancement and coordination and to work hard for the department and public in general.
The meeting was chaired by Er C Hendo Sumao, Superintending Engineer, PWD (Housing). It closed with concluding remarks from Er Hozheto Shikhu, Chief Engineer, PWD (Housing) Department.
