Kohima, September 29 (MExN): Destination North East (Virtual) 2020 with focus state Nagaland under the theme “Emerging Delightful Destinations” was held on September 29 at NEC Secretariat, Shillong.
Chief Minister of Nagaland and Advisor Tourism, Art & Culture, Government of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio and Khehovi Yepthomi graced the event as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
A DIPR report stated that introducing the state of Nagaland by Miss Nagaland was followed by audio visual presentation on the tourist attractions of Nagaland. A short message was delivered by state icon and Olympian Archer, Chekrovolu Swuro. Tetseo sisters presented special number.
Introduction to local entrepreneurs and virtual exhibition of handicrafts/traditional fashion and local product was done by Jesmina, Handicrafts, Nagaland Honey Bee Mission and Atheli Zimomi, Fashion Designer.
Beimopha, IRS proposed vote of thanks. Other highlights of the programme included dance and music by Sumi War dance, Cock dance and Folk Fusion by Abiogenesis.
