The Destitute Children’s Home Kohima today celebrated its 5th foundation day at Kezieke, Kohima.

Destitute Children’s Home proprietor  Kevilenuo Chadi (Alebu) said that the Destitute Children’s Home was formed on 26 November 2018 and registered under the Government as a charitable society for Destitute Children.

“This home shelters abandoned children, abused, neglected, orphaned and semi orphans,” she said adding at there are 9 destitute children under this home at present.

She said that people came to know about this home through social media after an article in the daily newspapers and had started visiting this home which includes different churches denominations, organizations and individuals.

She conveyed special thanks to Monalisa Changkija, Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Easterine Kire, Hekiye Sema and Prem Kumar (Mumbai).

She also expressed deepest gratitude towards the people who had supported and allowed their family to keep trying to transform their lives for a better future.

She maintained that the children had so far improved in terms of studies and spiritual world.

CRC Pezelietsie pastor Letoulie Pienyii pronounced a special prayer.

Keziekie Welfare Board vice chairman Tseilievinuo Sale shared greetings and expressed happiness over the love and happiness that grows in the Home.
