Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): Hundreds of NPF supporters from 59 A/C Seyochung-Sitimi Constituency (Kiphire) assembled at public ground, Kiphire at the felicitation programme of the ‘new comers’ of the Party which was organized by the 59th A/C NPF party.
Speaking at the program as chief guest, C.Kipili Sangtam MLA, Chairman NSMDC and Chairman DPDB Kiphire who is from 59 A/C said “As a peoples’ representative myself, I will work for the welfare of the people and shall continue to do so”. While urging the public to select a visionary leader, he also asked the people to preserve peace for development as there is no development without peace. Sharing his thought on qualities of leadership, he also said, ‘A leader should not keep false commitment, rather truth and discipline must be maintained, and also added that development should be the core vision in leadership’.
Advising the gathering Kipili also said, ‘Kiphire being a home of multi tribe with varied culture and every word and action should be viewed thoroughly before speaking and commenting, it should also be truthful and disciplined,” he added. He also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for granting 2% job reservation to the Sumis of Kiphire District and said that Sumis of Kiphire should thank Neiphiu Rio and also the State Government.
Apong Pongener, Working President of NPF Nagaland who was also the guest of honour at the felicitation program explained the significance of the NPF flag and said “National Parties high Command is in Delhi and is being commanded from there but for Regional Parties the high command is the people representatives which makes the work more easier and smooth,” and asked the people to support regional parties. Others who spoke on the occasion were T.L.Mery Vice President NPF Nagaland, and Kakuto Shohe President Youth Wing Nagaland and the president 59 AC.
