The 56th Foundation Day of Dimapur Government College was held on July 25.
Dimapur, July 26 (MExN): The 56th Foundation Day of Dimapur Government College (DGC) was celebrated on July 25 with the present and past faculty as well as staffs of the college and Student’s Council in attendance.
During the celebration, speeches from principals and retired officers took gathering through a journey back to the times when the DGC had to go through the rigors of disciplining to emerge as a reputed educational institute in the district today.
Besides, meritorious students of the Nagaland University Examination 2022 were also felicitated and each subject topper from each department was citation and cash prizes.
The award also included Dr Hokishe Sema Award for Academic Excellence (Arts Stream) to Shingke Paomai and LT Yepthomi Award (Commerce) to Pim Limbu. Both awards carry citation and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 each. The programme was chaired by Kezhaleu Hesso, Vice Principal of the college, a DGC release informed.
