DGNCC calls on Governor of Nagaland

Kohima, May 23 (MExN): Lieutenant General PP Malhotra, Vishisht Seva Medal, Director General of National Cadet Corps, called on PB Acharya, Governor of Nagaland at Dimapur today. A press release from AR PRO stated that during the meeting the General Officer apprised Governor Acharya on the objectives of National Cadet Corps in pursuance of National Goals. He discussed various activities being undertaken by the NCC units towards achieving the aim of national integration and nation building in the state of Nagaland.  

Lieutenant General, PP Malhotra, highest ranking officer incharge of NCC, India is on a two day visit to various NCC units of Dimapur and Kohima from May 22-23. The purpose of this visit is to take a firsthand account of NCC activities in the state, as also to interact with the officers and cadets of NCC units, the release stated.  

On 22 May, PP Malhotra carried out and interaction with senior officers of NCC Directorate, NE Region, Shillong wherein Major General Raju Chauhan, Additional Director General NCC, NE Region provided the visiting officer with an update on NCC activities in complete NorthEast states. After the briefing he visited one Nagaland Air Squadron NCC, Dimapur and observed the training activities of the unit.
