DGP Nagaland encourages police personnel to get COVID vaccination

Kohima, February 24 (MExN): COVID-19 vaccination and sensitization programme was organized at PHQ on February 24. Director General of Police, Nagaland TJ Longkumer, IPS, was administered the first dose during the vaccination drive.

Altogether around 100 police personnel comprising of officers and men were vaccinated during the drive, a DIPR report stated. 

Speaking on the occasion, the DGP Nagaland encouraged all ranks and files to undergo vaccination, as the nature of police duty and services require the personnel to be prepared against the COVID pandemic.

The vaccination was organized by Limasunep Jamir, IPS, IGP (Range). Nodal Officer for COVID-19 related activities for police department and conducted by Dr John Khuvung, RMO.

According to a release by the SP Crime & PRO, PGQ, sensitization of police personnel was conducted by CMO Dr Vezokholu and Dy CMO and DIO Dr Rupert Peseyie at conference hall, PHQ. The programme was chaired by R Vikram Ezung, Asst. Inspector General of Police (OPS).
