Kohima, April 30 (MExN): The Department of Industries & Commerce (DI&C) and the Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC) have taken a significant step toward strengthening digital capabilities within the department, an official release informed.
The step was taken under the “improving digital infrastructure” component of the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme, it said.
It included the distribution of desktop computers, printers, inverters, and video conferencing facilities across the District Industries Centres (DICs) and at the Directorate, it added.
This enhancement is expected to significantly improve the operational efficiency and productivity of departmental functions, the release further noted.
The RAMP Scheme, launched by the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), focuses on boosting the performance and competitiveness of the MSME sector through a range of targeted interventions.
The upgradation of digital infrastructure is a key enabler to support seamless coordination, improved service delivery, and effective implementation of programmes across the state, added the DI&C release.
It also assured its commitment to building a “digitally empowered administrative framework that supports the growth and resilience of MSMEs in Nagaland.”
