Dimapur accords civic reception to its new DC

Dimapur, January 21 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur and Public Action Committee accorded a civic reception and also held a coordination meeting with the new Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol on January 21 at Naga Council office Dimapur. Addressing the gathering, DC Dimapur expressed gratitude to the Naga Council for their gesture in welcoming him and asserted that the working relationship between the administration and the Naga Council would continue for the welfare of the people. Calling upon the Naga council members to be an example for the younger generation, Kevin lauded the retired senior government officials for responding to the calls in serving the society by being a part of the Naga Council Dimapur. To be a social worker it has to come from the blood and I am so proud, you are the dedicated soldiers, he maintained.


Naga Council President, Bangerloba Jamir, reiterated that Naga Council was created in 1949 to bring peace and harmony and sought cooperation from the administration as they continue to work for the Naga society, a DIPR report informed. Public Action Committee Convenor, Vekhosayi while stating peace and tranquility as the most important component for a society to grow, reaffirmed that PAC would continue to work for justice. He also assured to extend best cooperation to the district administration. Naga women Hoho President, GB union President, Dimapur urban council also spoke in the meeting and assured of their cooperation.
