Dimapur, August 3 (MExN): The Deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan convened a meeting of all Heads of Departments (HODs) under Dimapur district on August 3.
The meeting was held for chalking out the programme for the upcoming 75th Indian Independence Day celebration, according to a DIPR report.
In pursuance with the Home department's directive, the DC informed that number of people for attending the Independence Day celebration would be regulated whereby social distance and other COVID appropriate behaviours would be maintained.
He however, directed the HoDs to instruct the staff to attend the programme to mark the special occasion.
Work distribution was assigned to different departments for conduct of the programme. Anumber of activities would be taken up from August 9 to 14 as per the Home Department's directive. In this regard, the meeting discussed organizing workshops, rallies; tree plantation, cleanliness drives, essay and painting competition by different departments and Road Safety Rally by Traffic Police, CP’s office. Other innovative activities in tune with the theme would be carried out in Dimapur district, the DIPR report added.
