Dimapur DPDB approves four new GPS

Dimapur, February 5 (DIPR): The Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) has approved opening of four new government primary schools in Rilan Village, Khehoi, Dhansiripar, Chumukedima 'A' Village, and Sabalie Colony ward-8, Chumukedima Town. The approval was made during the monthly meeting of the Board held on February 5 in the DC's conference hall.   The meeting was chaired by Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation and Flood Control and Chairman DPDB Dimapur Jacob Zhimomi. Department of Taxes presented a PowerPoint highlighting the activities and achievements of the department.   Jacob lauded the Department of Taxes for generating revenue for the State and exhorted them to go the extra mile, reminding that there are still areas and scopes for increasing revenue. He further encouraged other departments to start generating revenue for the State.   On behalf of the Board members, the chairperson also lauded Chief Executive Officer, Fishery Department, Dimapur, Dr. Vimezo Kire for receiving Governor's Commendation Certificate during Republic Day 2016.   The Board entrusted Excise Department to give their departmental presentation in the next meeting.
