Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): Dimapur Police seized 503 cases of different brands of IMFL on May 17 around 8:30 pm during a raid conducted at Diphupar Village L-Khel, Dimapur. In this connection, two persons identified as Sabir Hussain (34) and Shiv Kumar (32) were arrested, informed a press release from PRO, Dimapur Police. The seized IMFL comprised of: can beer – 94 cases, beer (bottle) – 37 cases, whiskey (OC Blue) – 179 cases, whiskey (Mc Dowell) – 41 cases, rum (Old Monk) – 119 cases, rum (Mc Dowell) – 33 cases. A case has been registered at Diphupar PS and further investigation is on, the release added.
On the same day around 8:00 pm, a combined Dimapur Police party of AET Zone I and AET Zone II apprehended two persons from Gorapatti area near New Field Check Gate area while they were demanding money from truckers. The two accused have been identified as Aghato Chophy (30) and Hopson Ayemi (30). A cash amount of Rs. 1800/- and Rs.530/- were recovered from their possession, the release added. A case has been registered at West Police Station in this regard and further investigation is on, it was informed.
