Dimapur gets another futsal ground

The GK Rengma Turf, a new futsal ground built and promoted by GK Rengma was inagurated at the Industrial Estate, Razhuphe, Dimapur, on July 11 by MLA Jwenga Seb. In his speech, MLA Jwenga Seb highlighted the growing popularity of futsal as a sport that not only promotes fitness but also encourages teamwork. He emphasized the importance of having recreational spaces like the GK Rengma Turf in a cosmopolitan city like Dimapur, which is known for its diverse cultures, communities and businesses.

Seb further expressed hope that the new futsal ground, besides serving as a recreational space, would serve as a hub of activity, where dreams can be realized. He acknowledged the passion of the proprietor, GK Rengma for promoting sports. Recognizing the significance of investing in the youth, the MLA stated that projects like the GK Rengma Turf would contribute towards shaping a better future for the young generation.

GK Rengma is also the Vice President of the Naga Council, Dimapur and President of the Rengma Sports Association, and was a also member of the erstwhile Dimapur Town Council. 

On account of the inauguration, an exhibition match was played between a team of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur and a team from the Dimapur Area Rengma Baptist Churches.
