Dimapur, September 21 (MExN): Following the allegations against the Vice President of Dimapur Goods Transport Association (DGTA), the Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CNCCI) and Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) has informed that the DGTA “will cease to function both officially and unofficially till the matter is thoroughly investigated by the two apex bodies.”
A decision to this effect was taken during a joint emergency meeting on Tuesday, the presidents of CNCCI and DCCI informed in a press release. Meanwhile, individual transporters are directed to continue with transportation actives to ensure that there are no shortages in essential commodity, it added. The two organisations also convened a meeting of all the transporters, within or outside the association, at 2:00 pm on September 25 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur.
