Dimapur, September 10 (MExN): The Dimapur Government College (DGC) 55th freshers’ meet was held under the theme ‘Passion to Excel’ in the college auditorium on September 9.
DGC Vice-Principal, Kezhaleu Hesso in the welcome address announced that Science Stream would be introduced in the next academic year and the Integrated Teachers Educational Program (ITEP) will also start soon.
The new Principal of the College, Prof Sanjay Sharma graced the occasion as the guest of honour. Prof Sanjay Sharma exhorted the students to not just settle for good but to aim for the best. He also announced that if any student of DGC achieving the position of Nagaland University topper in any subject would be awarded a cash award of Rs 25,000 along with a citation.
Besides a vibrant display of performances by the students, the highlight of the day was the contest for Mr and Miss Fresher 2022 which was won by Mr Fresher Musumong R and Miss Fresher Grace Thapa.
