Dimapur, June 16 (MExN): Following the “indication” that the Dimapur District Administration will allow the Hongkong Market to function soon with certain guidelines, the Hazi Park Business Welfare Committee (HPBWC) on June 16 undertook a sanitization drive of the entire market area, while the shopkeepers cleaned their shops and “made it ready to open as and when the order to reopen the market comes out.”
Hazi Park (Hongkong Market) has been closed for more than two months since the lockdown.
HPBWC President, Hukato V Achumi in a press release stated that the Committee arranged Sodium Hypochlorite solutions, spraying machines and engaged two persons with full PPE kits to disinfect the market area on Tuesday. The entire area comprising of Hazi Park (Hongkong Market) was disinfected with Sodium Hypochlorite solutions.
While stating that members of the HPBWC were also present during the entire exercise of disinfecting the market complex, they expressed hope that “Hongkong Market will be ready to welcome customers in a sanitized market very soon.”
