Kohima, Sept 28 (mexn): The Nagaland Contractors’ and Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) has suspended its Dimapur and Kiphire District Units for an indefinite period. A joint press release issued by NCSU Vice President Kiyeshe Assumi and General Secretary T Yanger Imchen stated that the Dimapur and Kiphire units had not paid heed to the directives of the NCSU Head Office, Kohima and elected their office bearers while violating the NCSU Constitution.
Article 3 serial numbers 4 and 5 of the NCSU constitution states:
• The Subordinate Units shall function in coordination with the Head Office, Kohima.
• The Head Office shall have the authority with matters relating to recognition of subordinate units. The executive jurisdiction of the Union shall prevail over all the subordinate units.
