During the exercise, DMC encountered problems in effective clearing owing to various cables and pipes underneath the drain. In this regard, the DMC has appealed the concerned departments to look into the matter within one week. Meanwhile, DMC Administrator, H Atokhe Aye has appealed the public not to throw solid wastes into the drain as it obstructs smooth flow of sewage. With the onset of monsoon, he said more instances of clogged drains could take place if such wastes are senselessly dumped into drains and appealed for public cooperation. (Morung Photo)
