Dimapur, July 20 (MExN): The 1st Dimapur Phom Churches Sports Meet 2017 got underway at the DDSC Stadium today under the theme “Ensemble Forts” meaning “Together We Are Stronger”. The two day sports meet is being organised by the Dimapur Phom Students’ Union along with the Phom Churches viz., Dimapur Phom Baptist Church, Signal Phom Baptist Church, Phom Baptist Attoi Diphupar and Chumukhedima Phom Baptist Church. Guest of Honour at the inaugural, Shahsha L. Menhahu, former President ENSF, urged the youths of different Phom Churches to be united and grow stronger together. He also highlighted his past experiences as an example to the youths and inspired all with his knowledgeable words and good advice. He also acknowledged the Dimapur Phom Students’ Union for organising the event. The programme was invoked by the Youth Pastor, SPBC while the DPSU President gave the welcome address. Oath Taking was led by the Sports Secy. DPSU. Meanwhile, the Union has extended heartfelt welcome to Phom senior citizens and all well wishers to witness the unique display of talents.
