Dimapur, September 14 (MExN): The PM Poshan (MDMS) Centralized Kitchen under Dimapur District Urban Area was launched at GPS Lengrijan on September 14. The launching of PM Poshan Centralized Kitchen by the implementation agency, CECS Dimapur was graced by dignitaries and representatives from various organizations and government schools.
Lauding the Department of School Education on the initiative of the PM Poshan in collaboration with implementation agency Community Educational Centre Society, Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS, Chairman of PM Poshan & Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur in his inaugural speech mentioned it was a step forward and this would do much to the welfare of the children.
“Whenever we try to do something new, we have apprehensions but we should break the shackle of comfort zone and work towards the betterment of the community,” he encouraged. “It is through our work to eradicate those doubts and the community in joining hands together to lay those apprehensions to rest,” he added.
The CECS in a press release stated that the programme was chaired by Kikali Achumi, AEO & PM Poshan Coordinator and the welcome address by Apokla Longkumer, Sr, SDEO Dimapur. Wonthungo Tsopoe, Director School Education and Subonenba Longkumer, Director CECS delivered special address, where they edified and encouraged this was an opportune moment, a challenge to do better towards the wellness of the children.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by L Panger Yaden, SMC Chairman GPS Lengrijan followed by prayer and serving of the meal to about 450 children and staff.
