Dimapur, August 2 (MExN): The essential movement of all vehicles within Dimapur District will continue to ply in Odd-Even system till August 18.
Commissioner of Police, Dimapur Rothihu Tetso, IPS on Monday stated that the order is issued in compliance to Government of Nagaland Order No.NSDMA-ER-COVID19- 301/2020 (Part-II) dated Kohima, August 1, 2021 and Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur Order No. DCD-18/COVID-19/ORDER, Dated 02nd August 2021 and in continuation to this Office Order of even No.1209 Dated July 17, 2021.
• Odd Number Days: On every Monday, Wednesday and Friday only vehicles with registration number ending with odd numbers (eg. 1,3,5,7 & 9) will be allowed to ply.
• Even Number Days: On every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday only vehicles with registration number ending with even numbers (eg. 2,4,6,8 & 0) will be allowed to ply.
The Dimapur CP stated that the violation of the order will be penalized U/S 177 and 179 of the MV Act 1988. “Exempted category mentioned in the aforementioned order shall be exempted. All officers and staff in the exempted category should carry Identity Card issued by respective HoD,” he added.
