Dimapur, January 23 (MExN): The Dimapur police recovered one unidentified non-local male (50 yrs approx) dead body on January 23 which was found lying dead on the side of the road opposite to Traffic Zone-I Office below fly over bridge Dimapur.
Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime) & PRO, Dimapur in a press release stated that on completion of all legal formalities the dead body was shifted to District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for PM examination/identification.
In another case, on January 19, at around 7:45 pm, a telephonic call was received at East Police Station, Dimapur from the District Hospital, Dimapur, that one person namely, Sukumar Banik (63), non-local, R/O Medziphema, who was under medical treatment at Faith Hospital and was discharged by the said hospital authority and referred to the District Hospital Dimapur, was brought dead by an ambulance to the district hospital.
Accordingly, East Police Station personnel went to the district hospital and conducted necessary enquiry during which it was learnt that the deceased was brought and admitted at Faith Hospital by an unknown, non-local person, the PRO stated.
“Inquest conducted over the dead body and all other necessary formalities observed. No foul play could be established currently and the dead body has been shifted to morgue at the District Hospital for post-mortem examination and to ascertain the cause of death,” the police said.
