Dimapur, May 30 (MExN): Dimapur police, crime branch during routine duty arrested one Shikaho for possessing .32 mm (No. China 19007) Pistol and 3 (three) live rounds. The arrest was made on May 29, at around 3:00 am. In this connection, a case has been registered at GRPS for further investigation.
The PRO, Dimapur informed in a press release that on May 30, Dimapur Police Crime Branch personnel arrested three people namely, Basanta Bhuyan (48 yrs), Tajen Borah (27 yrs) and Dilip Borah (50 yrs) for possessing of fake Indian currency notes. A total of 108 fake notes in 500 rupees denomination amounting to Rs. 54,000/- were seized from their possession and the case has been registered at Diphupar Police station for further investigation. nThe Dimapur Police, Anti Extortion Team (AET) personnel on May 30 also arrested one active member of NSCN-U organization identified as Zhekato Swu (35 yrs), Ss Raja Peyu in charge of Walford Colony. The individual were arrested while demanding cash from a mason sub-contractor engaged for construction at Walford colony. One copy of demand/assignment letter issued in the name of NSCN-U, was recovered/seized from his possession. A suo-moto case has been registered and investigation is on.
