DIMAPUR, JANUARY 9 (MExN): The Dimapur Police has recovered the body of an unidentified individual near the main entrance gate of the Dimapur Railway Station on January 7.
A press note issued by the Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime)/PRO informed that at around 10 AM on January 7, the Station Manager of NF Railway Dimapur submitted a written memo reporting the discovery of a deceased person near the railway station’s entrance. In response, a police team immediately rushed to the scene and found the body of a non-local male, estimated to be around 65 years old, believed to be homeless or a beggar.
Initial investigations suggest that the cause of death may have been illness and starvation. Following the completion of necessary legal procedures, the body was transported to the District Hospital Morgue for post-mortem examination and further identification.
The deceased was described as wearing black pyjama pants, a black jacket, and a white t-shirt. He had dark skin with white hair.
