Dimapur: Pujak Brahman Parishad reconstitutes executive committee

Dimapur, June 6 (MExN): The Pujak Brahman Parishad, a community organisation based in Dimapur and established in 2010, has completed its reorganisation process and constituted a new Executive Committee for the 2026–2029 term with the unanimous support of its members.

According to a statement issued by the Parishad, the reorganisation process began on October 26, 2025, with the objective of making the organisation more active, united and effective in serving the community.

The Parishad expressed gratitude to former office bearers, senior members, advisers, patrons and well-wishers for their guidance and support throughout the process. It also acknowledged the contributions of its founder executive committee, comprising former president Amalandu Biswas, vice-president Sunil Chakraborty, general secretary Subrata Bhattacharjee, joint secretary Sudarshan Bhattacharjee and treasurer Mukul Goswami, who was later succeeded by Jyotish Bhattacharjee.

The organisation also paid tribute to several departed patrons, advisers, senior members and well-wishers whose contributions, it said, helped build a strong foundation for the Parishad over the years.

For the 2026–2029 term, the Parishad has constituted a three-member Advisory Board consisting of Nityaranjan Bhattacharjee, Swami Chinmoyananda Ji Maharaj and Bishnu Bhattacharjee.

Subrata Bhattacharjee has been elected president of the new Executive Committee, while Swapan Chakraborty and Jyotish Bhattacharjee will serve as vice-presidents. Sushanta Bhattacharjee has been appointed general secretary, with Mridul Chakraborty and Shankar Chakraborty serving as joint secretaries.

Partha Sarathi Chakraborty has been named treasurer and Ankur Sharma Biswas assistant treasurer. Jontu Bhattacharjee will serve as organising secretary and convener, Pankaj Bhattacharjee will take charge of the Media Cell, while Suman Chakraborty, Debu Chakraborty, Bibek Bhattacharjee, Nilu Goswami and Bakul Chakraborty have been appointed coordinators.

Tapan Chakraborty, Moloy Chakraborty, Biplab Bhattacharjee, Mihir Chakraborty, Biswajit Bhattacharjee, Bappi Chakraborty and Narayan Chakraborty will serve as executive members.
The organisation said it would continue to preserve its constitution, resolutions, records, photographs, videos, social media archives and other historical documents as valuable assets and part of its institutional heritage.

Reaffirming its commitment to the organisation's constitution, the newly constituted Executive Committee said it would focus on promoting unity, education, cultural preservation, spiritual values, social welfare and greater participation of younger generations in community activities.
