A day after the death of a pregnant woman in a paid quarantine centre in Dimapur on July 22, the result of the COVID-19 test of the deceased is still awaited. While multiple attempts to reach health officials in Dimapur still went unanswered, it was learnt from another official source that, the TrueNat test of the deceased had returned positive. The confirmatory RT-PCR test result was yet to be received till late evening on July 23. It was also learnt that in addition to the deceased's family withholding consent for postmortem, according to sources, postmortem was also reportedly not conducted on the deceased as the TrueNat test result showed positive.
