Dimapur, September 30 (MExN): In connection to the news item on Grahak Mela (Phase-I) which was published on September 28, Paogin Haokip, AGM SBI, RBO Dimapur has clarified that the camp will be held for two days i.e. October 4 and 5, at the conference hall of Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. He informed that the camp will open at 10:00 am on both days.
A press release issued by Tokili Holo, Dy. Manager, State Bank of India, RBO Dimapur stated that the camp is being organized by SBI in partnership with 13 other public and private sector banks.
Earlier, the programme was scheduled to be held only on October 5 at Hotel Saramati. However, Haokip said that as per the instructions of the Government, it will now be a two-day event at an alternative location. Further, elaborating on the programme which is touted to be a mega ‘customer outreach initiative’ by the banks, Haokip disclosed that apart from providing loan applications for and related information on various schemes under Personal, Agricultural and MSME segments, the camp (Grahak Mela) will focus on promotion of digital payment systems, opening of small accounts with Aadhar and Mobile linking, enrolment of customers under various social security schemes such as APY, PMJJBY, PMSBY etc.
He has requested customers of all banks and also the general public to visit the Grahak Mela and avail the services offered by the banks in one of its own kind of initiatives undertaken together by multiple banks under one platform under the aegis of the DFS, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
