Dimapur, October 12 (MExN): With the aim to sensitise the importance of strict adherence to human rights while dealing with the public, a debate competition on Human Rights was held at Assam Rifles Training Centre and School (ARTC&S), Shokhuvi, Dimapur on October 12.
An update from PRO & Spokesperson stated that seven teams for NE based CAPFs namely BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB, ITBP, RPF and Assam Rifles participated in the debate.
A total of 28 speakers debated on the topic in Hindi and English language categories with 14 speakers each ‘for’ and ‘against’ the motion. In both the Hindi and English categories, Assam Rifles secured the 1st positions while CISF and CRPF secured 2nd positions in English and Hindi categories respectively.
The Assam Rifles, CISF and CRPF have been selected to represent the North East Zone in the Semi-Finals of Inter-CAPF debate competition.
Brigadier Suresh Kumar Sheoran, YSM, SM, Commandant, ARTC&S appreciated the efforts put in by the participants and made a special reference to the efficient conduct of the event by the organisers. He also conveyed good wishes to prize winning teams for semi final round of debate.
